Resources in Movement Dynamic Movement With Caryn McHose May 22 and 23 $160 Learn about body structure using experiential anatomy. Find flow in movement, the harvest of our body’s gravity reflexes. Let the story of biological evolution organize and enhance body perception. Clarify how you orient to space, and to ground. This class is about recovering the feeling of fluidity, and the flow of a body liberated from tension and restriction. Give your body a chance to discover quiet, as you attend to internal rhythms and sensations. The wisdom and lengthening of yoga, the support of anatomical precision, the playfulness and grace of the animal body—Caryn’s approach empowers us in many dimensions. Caryn McHose has taught movement and anatomy for over 30 years. She created the experiential anatomy curriculum for Middlebury College, which forms the core of the book, Bodystories: A Guide to Experiential Anatomy by Andrea Olsen. She has taught collaboratively with Arthur Kilmurray and Tom Myers. Caryn’s work has been influenced by her study with Bonnie Cohen, Emilie Conrad and Susan Harper. Caryn continues an ongoing training with Hubert Godard, the French Rolfer and dance teacher who has developed the Theory of Tonic Function. Caryn collaborated with Susan Borg to create the Resonant Kinesiology Training Program in Burlington, VT. Together with Kevin Frank, Caryn has written the article, The Evolutionary Sequence, An Integrative Model for Movement Study, published in Rolf Lines. Caryn teaches classes and does private sessions in perceptual bodywork.
