Kevin Frank is a Certified Advanced Rolfer and Rolf Movement Instructor, in practice since 1987. He teaches movement (perceptive/coordinative/expressive) in the context of structural integration, and in the context of other somatic professions. His work is sourced in study with Hubert Godard, and perceptual and embodiment practices with Susan Harper, Emilie Conrad, and Caryn McHose. Previous to becoming a Rolfer, Kevin helped found and build the Springwater Center for Meditative Inquiry and Retreats in Springwater, NY, and previously studied and worked at the Rochester Zen Center.
Kevin is the co-author (with Caryn McHose) of How Life Moves, Explorations in Meaning and Body Awareness, and Kevin is the author of numerous articles on perceptive and coordinative dimensions of structural integration which can be found at www.resourcesinmovement.com under “Article Archive.”
Perceptive
Core Stability
September 9-15, 2011
A 6-day course to
consider how perceptive and coordinative dimensions of structural integration
offer reliable answers to issues of core stability. An experiential course to
consider: 1. theory about how the body naturally learns stability in response to
demand; and 2. skill building practice in movements and perceptions that
reinforce and refine the goals of the structural integration series.
Stabilization will be considered in table work, seated and standing work,
self-care exercises using common exercise bands, as well as use of Pilates
reformer and combination chair.

Embodying Rolf’s Structural Integration Recipe
August 22 - 28, 2012
A 6 Day Course to verify Rolf’s insights regarding “normal” body posture and expressive dimensions in gravity. Rolf’s10 session recipe builds a step by step restoration of competent function, through differentiation of the body’s sensory and motor maps. Fascial work, an essential dimension, often obscures the inherent functional goals that each step highlights. How do we evoke the hall marks for each step of integration in the absence of fascial manipulation? And how do we help our selves (and our clients) bring alive structural integration as integrated movement? In this course we learn to feel and teach the natural truth of the structural integration series as perceptive/coordinative experiences.

Orientation,
Perception, and Resonance: Skills that Speak to the
Psychobiological Dimensions within the Structural Integrative Process
August 22 - 28, 2013
A Six Day Course in which we experience orientation as a fundamental skill for bringing presence, safety, and depth to somatic work. This course is an opportunity to notice moment to moment perceptual shifts through exercises that build a quality of shared awareness and sustained presence. Our biology is pre-wired to orient to gravity and to build a map of body and space. We will learn to consciously sense the orienting dimensions within us; and we will learn how orientation supports the structural integration process and helps our clients meet practical and relational challenges in their lives. We will also examine how orientation and perception underlies posture and pre-movement. This course will involve extensive time in partnered sense perception tracking and reflection, as well as stability exercises that provide daily self care.
